Matthew is an MEng qualified Chartered Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the rail industry, in a broad career spanning various infrastructure and rolling stock disciplines and management roles within the UK and Europe.
Matthew has particular experience in infrastructure monitoring, telecommunications and cyber security and has worked with us as a rolling stock project engineer for the last four years.

A Chartered Mechanical Engineer since 2011, Ema joined Encompass as an experienced Project Engineer working in the Rail, Nuclear and Manufacturing sectors. Previously responsible for multiple projects involving product development and delivery of Automated Inspection systems for both track and trains, Ema is using her engineering, rail industry knowledge, project management and requirements analysis skills on fleet introduction projects including the Class 196s and Class 810s.

Since joining, Teck Sing has worked on multiple projects spanning various disciplines - from reviewing key train requirements for South Western Railway and East Midlands Rail to conducting API tests for West Midlands Trains. His hard work and persistence was also integral to us getting Cyber Essentials certified.

With over 16 years of working in rolling stock - for companies including Alstom and Hitachi - and a further 10 years in manufacturing environments, Ben is a quality lead engineer with experience in overhauls, refurbs, damage and vandalism, mods, maintenance and more. Specialising in quality and inspections, Ben has been responsible for overseeing the quality and manufacturing of the WCP in Newton Aycliffe and delivering the new ‘Evero’ 805/807 Trains for the West Coast Partnership.

A former Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer, he holds an IRSE signalling electronics licence and has proven expertise in fault finding, electronic installations and testing. Thomas excels in quality assurance and test management, liaising effectively between manufacturers and train operators to ensure smooth train introductions. Known for his methodical approach, proactive decision-making, and leadership, he consistently delivers successful outcomes in complex projects.
